Originally built in 1932 and completely restored in 1994, the Last Gleam is a two story beach house with an unsurpassed view of Monterey Bay. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms each with full beds, there is a full bath, a living room, a dining area, and a full kitchen. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen size bed, and a day bed with a trundle, a living room with a queen size sleeper sofa, a full bath, and a mini kitchen. The house can sleep 8 to 10 people. Spectacular ViewsSituated on the bluffs overlooking the beach, the Last Gleam commands a spectacular view of Monterey Bay.
View South form the Last GleamTo the south one can see the coastal areas of Moss Landing, Seaside and Monterey. On a clear day you can see waves breaking along the point at Pacific Grove. To the north the towns of Aptos, Capitola, and the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk are clearly observable.
View north form the Last Gleam The Last Gleam in located in the Sunset Beach subdivision and is completely surrounded by Sunset Beach State Park. There is access to the beach via a private path and stairway just a few yards from the house. For those who enjoy solitude combined with unsurpassed beauty, the Last Gleam can be your ideal get-away. The Last Gleam is easily accessible from State Highway 1 about 10 miles south of Santa Cruz.
